The Stiegl-museum in Salzburg
Tradition meets innovation
Our Stiegl-museum gives the idea that Stiegl is far more than a brewery: Stiegl is an attitude toward life. Covering more than 400 m², the history of the Stiegl brewery, as well as its former and current owners, are narrated against the background of Salzburg’s timeline. Both historical originals and modern exhibition techniques are put to use.

(last admittance to the museum is one hour before closing)

If you book a guided tour of our Stiegl-museum, you can also look forward tot he following highlights:
Beertasting
So much looking, marveling and experiencing makes you thirsty. That’s why the brewery tour includes three beer tastings to round off the experience. After the tour, individual visitors can sample our various Stiegl-beers in the brewery’s restaurant for an additional charge.
Tour through the production facilities
Take a look behind the scenes at the production facilities of Salzburg’s privat brewery. In our modern brewhouse and bottling hall, you can experience beer production live and see how 90,000 bottles of Stiegl-beer are bottled every hour.
Set off on an exciting trip in our experience cinema. The 270-degree panorama view and floor projection will captivate you, making you feel like you are right in the middle of things.

Come experience the raw ingredients for beer production. Introduce your nose and palate to the aromas and flavor notes of various types of grain, malt, and hops. Beer brewing entails a fair share of creativity, which is demonstrated in our in-house brewery, where you can watch our house beers being produced.
